Hi

I have had a love of dogs all my life, buying my first dog in 1977.  I have always enjoyed that special  relationship with them.

However, it was not until I rescued Gemma,  a working sheepdog, who had dog to dog aggressive problems, that I became interested in instructing.   Having shed many a tear over her, it was then that I realised how many others must have felt the same as I did.   It was through her that I became interested in those dogs with ‘bad habits’.

After some good instruction Gemma became a much nicer companion,  and its worth remembering that its rarely too late to do something about a problem,  even if its just learning to manage the situation.

I work my own dogs in competitive obedience, and I run my own training school   ‘Lead the Way’ with a partner.  We run classes for all ages and abilities, starting with very young puppies.

Lead the Way is held in the Kingswood Village Hall,  Nr Maidstone, Kent on a Wednesday. We run the Kennel Club’s Puppy Foundation course,  together with a beginner class,  plus the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme’s Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.   I also run a top class for those who would like to try their hand at competition obedience.

I am a Kennel Club Accredited Dog Trainer, specialising in the Companion Dog  and affiliated to the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers.
